Here are a couple of good home remedies you can try for constipation.
- Take a glass of water; add half of a lime or lemon to it and half a teaspoon of sugar. Mix it well and drink it before you have your breakfast.
- Take 6 to 8 ounces of prune juice and heat it for 45 seconds. To this add 1 tablespoon of real butter and heat for about 25 seconds. Allow this concoction to cool for about 30 seconds, then stir it well and drink it. It provides relief in about an hour or so.
- Mix together 1 teaspoon of olive oil and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and drink this every morning. This is good home remedy for constipation. If you have a severe problem, repeat this at bedtime.
- Drinking some carrot juice mixed with spinach juice provides quick relief from constipation.
- Another excellent remedy for constipation is linseed. Swallow a teaspoon of linseeds with some water before having your meals.
- At bedtime, drink a glass of water to which half a teaspoon of almond oil has been added.
- Another effective severe constipation treatment is a glass or two of apple juice. You can have it at bedtime and drink plenty of water after that.
- Make sure you exercise regularly. If you are not able to follow a gym regimen do not fret. Go in for simple exercises such as walking round the block or just running up and down a flight of stairs to improve your overall fitness levels.
- An excellent remedy for constipation is eating fresh blue berries. This works in just a couple of hours.
- Add a tablespoon of corn syrup to a cup of water and drink it in the morning.
- For long term relief, include yoghurt in your diet. Also make sure that you drink plenty of water.
