Prognosis of Cushing Syndrome
A prognosis of Cushing Syndrome will depend on the cause of the disease. Most of the cases of Cushing Syndrome can be cured. People with hormonal disorders show a lot of improvement with the treatment, although some complications can arise. Some of the complications include:
- Serious infections may lead to secondary infections.
- Kidney stones from raised cortisol levels and other chemicals that go through the kidneys.
- High blood pressure.
- Fractures because of osteoporosis.
- Pituitary gland becoming enlarged.
- Diabetes (low or high levels of glucose in the blood).
