Diet for Liver Cancer

The diet for liver cancer is based on maintaining your strength as well as your weight. It is important to consume organic foods because processed foods contain toxins and with the liver diseased, the blood may become toxic. Consume six to eight smaller meals instead of three large meals a day. Eat after every two to three hours and avoid fatty foods, especially fatty meats such as lamb, beef and pork. Consume only lean meats such as leaner cuts of poultry like chicken and turkey. Try to avoid frying your foods and cook them by steaming, baking or sauteing. Also avoid alcohol and do not smoke.

You can also use home remedies for managing liver cancer. While these remedies do not help cure the condition, they make your life much better. Here are some of these home remedies:

  • Consume Ginger: This can help control your nausea. You can chew a piece of ginger, make yourself some ginger flavored herbal tea or suck on some ginger candy.
  • Consume Nutritional Supplements: You can consume nutrition bars as well as liquid supplements to help you replenish your energy. You can also keep power bars and energy drinks at home.
  • Surround yourself by people who can help you with your everyday tasks.
