Symptoms of Teenage Pregnancy
A missed menstrual period is usually one of the early signs of pregnancy. However this doesn't necessarily point towards pregnancy. Also some young girls may experience changes in their menstrual cycles due to dieting or exercising. Some of the other signs and symptoms that may be indicative of pregnancy include:
- Morning sickness which triggers symptoms such as nausea and vomiting
- Tiredness
- Sore breasts or nipples
- Mood swings
- Increase in the urge to urinate
- Aversion to certain foods
The best way to detect a pregnancy is to take a pregnancy test. There is easy availability of home pregnancy tests today. These are easy to use kits which can be purchased at drug stores and are usually accurate.
