What do I administer for impetigo?

In order to take care of impetigo, which is a highly contagious bacterial skin infection, the first thing you have to take care of is that you do not touch the infected part of yourself and then use the same hands to touch other, uninfected parts of yourself. Do remember that impetigo is so contagious that it does not even need open or broken skin to spread. It is for this reason alone that the first step towards taking care of impetigo is that you need to have clean and disinfected skin.

Always keep a paste made with turmeric powder and water handy. Apply this to your infected areas as frequently as possible. Turmeric is a great anti infective agent and will help to control the infection. You should also try to drink hot milk in the morning and night with a teaspoon of turmeric added to it. This will help to heal your infection from within. If you can, try to add turmeric powder to your food as well. If you have developed sores that itch and burn, as is sometimes known to happen, you can also apply aloe vera gel to them. This will not only help with healing, it will also cool down the burning sensation.

Impetigo is an bacterial skin infection. It enters the body through any kind of cut or scratch. When your body suffers a wound and gets a get or a scratch, this is the invitation for bacteria to enter the body. The bacteria that causes this infection is called streph or straph. In most cases impetigo appear around the nose and the mouth of the person affected by this bacteria. These appear as crusty sores which are honey coloured. However, these boils can appear on any part of your body.

The most important thing to remember when treating this infection is that cleanliness is very important. You should wash the area that has been affected with warm water. Although you may be tempted to use a bandage on the affecter area, it is a better idea to leave this open. This will ensure that the wounds get better soon. Avoid touching the affected area. You should wash your hands each time you visit the toilet. Clothes made of a cotton fabric are certainly much more comfortable.Application of Aloe vera gel on the sores is generally effective. So also is the application of apple cider vinegar. Boil equal quantities of rosemary and thyme in a cup of water. Strain when it has boiled well and store. This can be used to clean the sores.
