Prognosis of Narcissistic Personality Disorder
The prognosis for Narcissistic Personality Disorder is poor if left untreated. Depending on the severity of the disorder, several complications can develop such as:
- Alcohol abuse
- Drug abuse or substance abuse
- Depression
- Inability to maintain healthy relationships
- Suicidal thoughts
- Problems in social relations at school or in the workplace
