- Apple cider vinegar acts as a very effective natural home remedy to cure infections. Soak a washcloth in apple cider vinegar and sponge your dog with it 2 times a day for 7 to 8 days. Make its solution with water and rinse your dog after bathing it.
- Similarly, tea tree oil can also be used as another natural treatment for ringworms in dogs. Dab some of this oil on the affected spots twice a day for a week.
- You can use papaya for dogs also as it works equally beneficially as a form of natural cure for ringworms in animals. A slice of raw papaya should be rubbed on the ringworms a couple of times everyday.
- Bleach is also used for treating ringworms in dogs. Mix 6 parts of it with 1 part of water and make a uniform solution. With a cotton ball, apply it on the patches and observe if it itches or burns the skin. Do not repeat or continue its application if you notice the above phenomenon or if your dog licks the residue.
- Dilute a little grapefruit seed extract and apply it evenly on the affected skin.
- Garlic is very effective in healing ringworms. Rub half a clove of it on the ringworms 2 times everyday for a week.
