How can you cure the rash on the upper leg?

Rashes of the skin can be an indication of a rather serious medical condition affecting some of the internal organs of your body, and you would be best advised to seek some professional medical help to determine the root cause of it. However, there is also the possibility that the condition could be nothing more than simple irritation of the skin. You may also notice a change in the color and the texture of your skin as well. Another possibility of the occurrence of the skin rash is the possibility that your skin is reacting as a result of the skin coming in contact with some kind of allergen. In this event it is essential to identify the substance that has caused the reaction so as to avoid the reaction in the future. Some skin rashes may be contagious as well. Some of the more severe rashes may be a result of an infection by some microorganism such as the existence of ringworm which may enter the body through the smallest of wounds. If this is the case, you will notice several small circles appearing in the affected area and seemingly grow if not treated.

While it is important to visit a doctor to identify the root cause of the condition, here are a few generic home remedies that will help alleviate much of the pain and itching caused by skin rashes. One of the most effective and natural cures in treating skin rashes is to apply some baking powder on the affected area. You could also create a poultice from dandelion, chaparral and yellow dock root and apply it over the rash. Another option is to draw a bath and add 3 tablespoons of potato flour melted in a glass of water. Allow your body to relax and soak in this mixture for about 15 minutes at various times during the day. Mix half a teaspoon of turmeric to half a glass of water and drink this mixture. This will help in reducing the extent of most skin rashes. Oatmeal is also known to be quite effective when treating skin rashes and pouring a cup of uncooked oatmeal to your bathwater should help significantly. Aloe Vera is well known for its amazing skin healing properties and is very well regarded in treating irritated skin. Try applying some of the gel over the affected area for considerable improvement.

In order to cure a rash of any kind, it is important to first know what is causing it. If your rash has persisted for more than a month, it is advisable to show it to a dermatologist and rule out the possibility of anything serious. Rashes could be caused due to allergies or dry skin. In both cases, you would need to boost your immune system in order to keep your skin generally healthy. Consuming a teaspoon of Indian gooseberry (indian gooseberry) powder every day will help tremendously in improving your general immunity. If you can get this fruit fresh, it will work even better.

You must first ensure that the rash on your upper leg is not due to allergy to a particular fabric that has come in close contact with your skin. If it is, stop wearing it immediately. If it is any other kind of allergy, a baking soda soak will help it tremendously. Mix a couple of teaspoons of baking soda in a glass of water and completely immerse a washcloth in this. Place the washcloth on the rash and leave for at least 10 minutes. This will help heal the rash. A simple cool compress of ice cubes wrapped in a washcloth will provide instant relief from the itching. Applying milk and milk cream will also help soothe the rash. A paste of sandalwood and rosewater will help soothe and cool the skin. You must try to keep the rash exposed as much as possible.
